Writing Mischief and Mayhem

As I am in the process of getting my works in progress into manageable and accessible/portable formats (ever noticed that as soon as you walk away from the keyboard you lose half of the information you need?) I have realized that it would be helpful to have a Master list of projects that does not have the option of being- misplaced, as were its predecessors.
Therefore, this page, which I have hopes of updating periodically.

WriteYear 2014 Progress: 66,298 / 150,000 - Translated- epic fail.
WriteYear 2015 Progress: 700 / 100,00
To Write:
  • The King's Shadow- medieval fantasy world, originally started in 2009. In the middle of a complete overhaul and change in voice.
Aiden is a noble in voluntary exile from his country (Treval) because his father dislikes him and threatened to kill him if he ever tried to take the heir-ship from his identical twin brother, Alec. To keep him safe, they sent him to another country across the sea (Jhalvior), where he is added to the royal palace as one of the many pages. He grows up, becomes a Squire, learns command in the Royal guard and falls in love with the eldest princess. Then, just after he attains knighthood, Alec calls him home.
  • Drakaeo- (30k) feudal high fantasy; Originally begun in 2011. Need to continue PreCourt Arc
Medieval hierarchical society of Dragons, Elves and Humans. Basically the story of a Dragon (and his half-Elven half-brother) who were born to nobility, lost because of civil unrest, and raised by human peasants then trained by renegade Elves before being re-introduced to Dragon society as his father's heir. It's...interesting.
  • Caelmare- (20k?) clan-ish elemental mage culture; Begun 2012. Begin 2nd Year Arc.
Clan-based elemental mage world, story takes place at a boarding school, add a generous helping of politics?
Tsora arrives at the mage school on the last day before classes begin. His room mate- who refuses to give his first name, and therefore goes by his last, 'Kuroni'- is a 'magicless' boy born to a prestigious Fire Mage family. Tsora decides to call him 'Ayaki' because of his unusual silver hair and eyes. As the term progresses, 'Ayaki' discovers a talent for minor Air magic, and flourishes away from his more powerful cousins' bullying.

However, both Tsora and 'Ayaki' hide painful pasts, which will only be revealed later, in the midst of a political 'perfect storm' such as the mage ruled country of {Kalladorne} has not seen in centuries.
  • Seeking the Dawn- medieval border war with random magical elements? Originally begun in 2012. Continue Temple Arc.
Sirael is the blind second son of a well-to-do military family. Djari is brought into the household as a captive slave. When the tables turn, does Djari return home without a second glance? Or will the months that he has spent as Sirael's personal servant beget unexpected consequences? I then introduced an arc about mage gifts, Djari's older brother, and Sirael regaining his vision.
  • Chimera- military/mob dystopian madness? Begun early 2013. Needs a full plot before I write it.
The City is isolated fenced in by huge stone walls and the soldiers who guard them. within those walls, the only rules are those of the streets. Gangs run their territories as they see fit.
And the word on the street is simple- "Never trust a Chimera..."
  • Trevin- Medieval desert culture. Tried in 2008, scrapped. Re-start?
To Edit:
  • Dan&Ian- ever-growing universe. Somewhere around 170k atm....
  • In the Wake of Ambition (Sarius)- A story someone else wrote. I have commenced first read through.
